Earlier in the month, MG commenced the bookings for Gloster at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. Launch due in the festive season, MG Gloster is expected to be priced around Rs 30 lakh – 38 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Sharp trim and top-of-the-line Savvy trim will be offered with a twin-turbocharged diesel engine and 4-wheel drive feature. The Savvy trim of Gloster is the flagship model of the SUV with Autonomous Level I features.
As far as engine goes, MG is introducing a 218PS, 480Nm twin-turbo, 2-litre Diesel engine paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. Super and Smart, however, will only sport a detuned turbo-charged Diesel engine.
The base trim Super will be available with only 7-seater combination whereas the Sharp trim would be available in both 6- and 7-seater combinations. The Smart and Savvy trims would be offered with captain seats too.
The standard safety features of the MG Gloster include dual front, side and curtain airbags. And other features like ESP, traction control system, roll movement intervention, hill hold control, hill descent control, ABS, EBD, brake assist and rear disc brakes also come as standard.
The 12.3-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with MG’s iSmart connectivity, ventilated front seats, panaromic sunroof, ambient lighting and wireless charging will be available in top trims.
The Savvy trim, which will be offered as a flagship model, is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) which will be coupled with a package of forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, automatic parking assist and adaptive cruise control.
