Indian mobile app developer KShark Apps has launched Apple iOS version of its Carbon Scanner app. This means that iPhone users can now download the app from App Store. Launched in July, Carbon Scanner is a document scanner app. It claims to have almost 400,000 users. As per the company, iOS version of Carbon Scanner uses iCloud drive to take backups of the scanned documents.
The app’s basic functionalities are free. There’s an optional upgrade that offers users features like document signing functionality, PDF password lock and extra Cloud OCR credits.
With Carbon Scanner app, users can scan their government IDs, passport, books and other documents. Both iOS and Android versions of the app support six filters by default that are said to enhance the quality of scanned documents. The filters like Grayscale, BW1 and BW2 are for scanning official documents. There’s special filter called Magic filter for handwritten notes. The app has brightness, sharpness and contrast modulation.
Users can create folders to manage documents in one place and arrange them so for easy access later. App also comprises tutorials for some of the advanced features.
