Actress and MP Jaya Bachchan took a stand against those trying to ‘tarnish the image of the entire Bollywood film industry’. She didn’t name anyone but gave a fair description. The actress said, “Just because there are some people, you can’t tarnish the image of the entire industry. I am ashamed that yesterday one of our members in Lok Sabha, who is from the film industry, spoke against it. It is a shame. People in the entertainment industry are being flogged on social media. People who made their names in the industry have called it a gutter.”
After the video went viral on social media, Kangana Ranaut expressed her views on it. In her tweets, Kangana asked Jaya if she would say the same things if it was her own daughter Shweta who was “beaten, drugged and molested as a teenage” She went Abhishek, ”
“Would you say the same thing if Abhieshek complained about bullying and harassment constantly and found hanging one day? Show compassion for us also.”
